Wildwood Standing Desk

We are happy with our desk. We are especially happy with their customer service. Our first tabletop was delivered with minor damage. The EffyDesk team acted very quickly to get us a replacement.

Overall, very good. Cable management + power could be better.

I ordered the solid wood top with wireless charging built-in. I also ordered the Single Monitor Arm. I love the colour and how easy it was to assemble. It is easy to adjust the height and save up to 3 preset heights for easy and accurate heights every time. One for my daughter at the lowest height. One for when I'm sitting and working. The last for when I'm standing and working.

The order was delivered from the Vancouver area to Hamilton, Ontario. The courier was Canpar. The box was not in good shape when it arrived. The box for the top was partially opened when it arrived on my doorstep. The box for the legs was dented but had a "FRAGILE - DO NOT DROP" sticker on the box. Luckily, EFFYDESK knows how to package and ship their desks because inside each box is a healthy layer of foam to protect the top and legs. The top had a very THICK layer of foam going around the perimeter to protect the corners where the box may get bumped. Shame on Canpar. Way to go EFFYDESK!

Once the desk was assembled it was time to put together the power component of the desk. The instructions were not great but the kit included zip ties to help manage the wires from the height controller, wireless charger and the power cord. The purchase came with a "FREE" cable tray and came in the same package as the legs. It easily connects to the desk frame under the tabletop. It is helpful to manage the wires for the monitor, laptop charger and PC speakers. Unfortunately, it's not large enough to put a power bar to plug my accessories into it. This means I have quite a few cords dangling down to the floor that I have to make sure are long enough when the desk is at its highest position. Ideally, there would be a power bar built into the under part of the desk and the cable tray would hold the accessories/cables plugged into the desk itself. Then 1 cord goes from the desk to the outlet.

The Single Monitor Arm also connects beautifully to my 35" widescreen monitor. I was worried when I ordered it because it's heavy AF, but the specs said it could handle the weight. I first got it connected, and it immediately dropped down to the desktop. I had a small panic attack before I figured out how to adjust the tension on the arm, and et viola it arose. The kit came with the option to clamp it onto the side of the desktop or to drill and connect through the desktop. I opted to put the rubber onto the arm and mount it on the side. No issues holding the weight up or moving around. Highly recommend it for those with big monitors on your desktop. It lets me push my monitor further toward the rear of the desk to create more space. I couldn't do this with the legs built onto the monitor since it's so large.

The desk has transformed my home workspace. Being able to stand or sit while working and offer a workspace at a height for my daughter is amazing. The cable and power management is my only wish to set this desk to be 5 stars, perfecto. In today's day and age, we are plugging in laptops, monitors, phones, microphones, ring lights, speakers, external hard drives, desktop computers and more. I'd expect a desk that costs $1500+ and already has power built-in to handle this better since it's all being lifted in the air.

Amazing desk and value! Love the small details and the wireless charger, works great with my iPhone and AirPods, the desk is very silent and quick, easy to change position even while in a meeting. I wish I could have same at the office!

We ordered two Walnut Wildwood desks and are extremely satisfied! No regrets with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to buy a standing desk, especially in the GVRD.
