What makes the Terra top material different from other wood materials?

Most chopsticks come from bamboo harvested in China. To make disposable chopsticks, the bamboo is harvested, treated, dried and shaped into chopsticks. These chopsticks then get shipped around 9,000 kilometers to North America, to be used in just one meal. Once used, these chopsticks are normally thrown away without a second thought.

Our raw material is a composite material made by pressing these discarded chopsticks together under high pressure along with a water-based resin, giving a natural and under-utilized resource a new life. Bamboo chopsticks share many of the high-performing traits of virgin bamboo, while our method for manufacturing each tile ensures that our final products are durable and long-lasting.

Bamboo is also one of the fastest-growing wood grasses, making the resource a very sustainable wood material.

How do you care for the Terra Desk table top?

TerraDesk table tops are sensitive to liquid. Make sure you take extra caution for spills and don't forget to use the coasters that come with your desk to ensure it stays in tip-top shape.

To keep your table in the best condition, please place it in the most consistent room temperature environment as possible to avoid the rapid movement of your engineered wood-bamboo surface.

How do the chopsticks stay together?

When the resin-coated chopsticks are subjected to high temperature and heat from the production process, the resin undergoes a chemical reaction that strengthens the tiles and activates the strong binding properties.

The resin is a water-based acrylic resin, free of urea and formaldehyde. It’s a non-toxic and environmentally-friendly alternative to the current resins used in the industry, allowing us to manufacture VOC-free products.

What voltage does this desk use?

The Terra Desk uses volt range between 110-230v.

How do I reset my desk?

To reset, unplug and plug the desk for 15 minutes. Then press the Down button and hold for 10-15 seconds until the table stutters and beeps.

Beautiful Desk, Frustrating experience

The desk is beautiful. I really do love it. I would like to say that customer service has been very timely and helpful. However.. I ordered this desk back at the beginning of Jan. It was supposed to ship out first week of feb. I had not received an email stating it had shipped by the 2nd week of feb, so I reached out. They informed me it would be a couple more weeks. No issues waiting, but that could have been communicated without me having to ask.

The desk finally shipped out. It had a crack in it, and wood filler in part of it. I reached out to customer service. I did end up getting a replacement top after they checked with engineering. Or I could have kept the top and get an 80 dollar credit. Just a long process (2 weeks) to get it shipped out.

I was originally told they would ship me a return label for the original top, so I kept it hanging around in my small apartment. They shipped out the replacement right away, but no word about the return. I had to ask customer service about it for them to tell me they don't want it back and to keep it (what am I going to do with this top).

Building the desk was a bit of work. I found the instructions very small and not super helpful. Then today I reached out because I couldn't get the wireless charger working. Turns out they didn't send me all the instructions and for me to hook up the wireless charger I need to dismantle part of my desk. This has just taken up so much time and has been a pain. If I were to do it again I'm not sure I would.

Great desk and very beautiful. Assembly instructions were a bit confusing and it took several hours to set it up. But I’m very pleased with it! Worth the time and money, I’d say.

Excellent quality on desks, I purchased the wildwood walnut standing desk, and honestly I was impressed I love it, it exceeded my expectations, is very sturdy and the double motors are quiet and great finish overall in this desk.
